Houston metal band Downfall 2012

Downfall 2012 Houston metal band Downfall 2012 can trace their origin back to 97’ when vocalist and guitarist Danny Gil and drummer Josh Pazda joined garage band Downfall, a high school rock band of which bassist Adam Pazda was already a member. After several lineup changes guitarist Andrew Zapatka was added forging a new direction for the band complete with all new songs and a name change to Downfall 2012. Combining traditional metal guitar styling, unusual drum rhythms, socially conscious lyrics and rap flavorings they found a style that worked well for them.

They have just released a new album titled “The Fuse is Lit,” which is available for purchase at Soundwaves and Cactus Music. Recorded and mixed in WIRE recording studios in Austin, TX this full length LP was engineered by Stuart Sullivan (Sublime, Butt Hole Surfers, Meat Puppets), and produced by Larry Fulcher (Grammy award winner with Taj Mahal and the Phantom Blues Band). Mastering was done at YES Mastering in Austin, TX by Jim Wilson (Pushmonkey).

The band is in their element during live performances. “Rip it up” is one of the crowd favorites, driving audiences into a fevered pitch at their shows. Its hard-hitting rock riffs meld seamlessly with the rap-influenced lyrics cemented in place by a solid drum and bass line. The bands live performances are a freestyle roller coaster ride with audience members participating in the on stage antics.
