Houston rock bands - Pale

Houston rock music with PalePale was formed in 1997 by vocalist and guitarist Calvin Stanley after his departure from El Nihilo. He released two solo projects and put together a group to play a series of live shows. The third album entitled high up and away was released nationally generating a buzz in the rock music community. They have opened for Rodger Waters and played some pretty large shows in the time since but they always remained a Houston band at heart.

With Robb Moore on guitar, Travis Middour on drums and Stephen Wesson on bass this band has finally got all the elements in place for something big. These north Houston rockers met through friends and love guitar driven rock and roll ala the Cure or Bauhaus with a modern rock feel. With honest rock songs like "Love Me More" and "Where is Heaven" show this band in their element. Known to put on a pretty good live performance as well this band is very well rounded and knows how to rock.

They also know how to get their message out to the fans and industry insiders making a splash at the SWSX and promoting shows and their charged atmospheric rock music to potential fans wherever they can find them.
According to Michael Clark, the music editor for the Houston Chronicle. “Pale has the rock ‘n’ roll ideal: the moxie and evolving know-how to get noticed in a business that gives less and less opportunity to new talent. Pale is trying to find the rock ‘n’ roll spirit again.”
