Press kit or one sheet definition.

A press kit is a small booklet of information which a band or artists sends to a producer or record label along with their demo. A press kit is a packet that contains band information and other items of interest which help the producer to get an idea of the band and what type of image they project and how they handle themselves. It can be an important tool in determining the professionalism and level of experience a band has. A one sheet is just a one page version of a press kit.

While there may be some truth to the fact that an excellent demo really needs no press kit it is a really bad idea to send a demo without one unless there is no other way.
