SDR Recording Contracts - Record Deals
We have different
recording contracts or record deals which we offer to different bands
depending on their needs as a band. We allow them to control most if not all of
the publishing rights to their music, which is a plus for bands. Also we produce
and record the albums for those bands in our small private studio and
occasionally in larger commercial studios if the record calls for it. We
do this at little or no cost to the band allowing bands to start recouping costs
almost immediately. That is radically different from most labels, rock or
corporate. There are many different types of recording contracts that we offer
so email us if you would like to be considered for one of them.
We require all our signed
artists to be 18 years of age due to current contract laws that make contracts
with minors very expensive and time consuming. We typically sign bands that live
in or would be willing and financially able to relocate to our area (Houston
Texas). We also typically manage the bands that we sign although if you have a
manager that’s ok too. We set up shows and promote them through
local radio and press and by other more unconventional methods to allow our
artists the greatest chance of success in live
performances. A typical deal would be for one to four years and include rights
to release all original songs produced by the
band on one to four albums in that time period and basically the usual record
deal stuff you would expect from a artist based rock label.
Also once the album is done we continue to
promote your project and band with local press, radio, and other cool
promotion
ideas.
Many of our bands help with the promotion of other signed bands helping to
cut the
cost of promoting projects further for all of us. We take music pretty seriously and we want to do
whatever it takes to help bands succeed. Don't put
off success. Send us a demo and you may be one of three bands which we are
about to sign. To submit a demo to our
